Valentines Day part 2

When Abi got home she was so excited to go through her Valentines. I realize I didn't take pictures of her box when she made it so here it is...
all her Valentine love...
I printed out a few cute games for her to do while waiting for dinner..
We had heart shaped homemade pizza for dinner. I didn't get a picture because it turned out really pathetic... but tasty. Then we got to open our bags to get our Valentines.
I got a bookmark (I made one for me and Abi), a new book that was recommended to me, some whoppers, and a few Valentines from Abi.
Doug's last gift was a box of Ferrero Rocher and then he got a bunch of Valentines from Abi.
Abi got the box of chocolates, the bookmark, and the Pinkalicious book from us. We also threw in the new mini Lalaloopsy for her collection because of her report card. She got all good grades again and her teacher said that she is a good role model for her peers. She also got some little Valentines from Doug, Maddy, and I and one from Grandma and Grandpa.
Maddy got some chocolates and a pink hippo. She also got valentines from us, Abi, and Grandma and Grandpa.
Then I made dessert. It is a cupcake followed by a layer of pudding (I colored vanilla pudding pink), a layer of whipped cream, and sprinkles. Everyone loved it.

It was such a fun day!

Valentines Day part 1

For Doug's Valentines gift I decided to have a bag of things he could open all day. I printed out the tags and then I picked up different treats over the last few weeks to put in the bag. I also used his lunch and a Root Beer for the bag. I wrapped up everything and put the tags on them telling when to open them. I forgot to take a picture of the bag afterward but here are some items before they were wrapped.
His lunch had water with red crystal light in it, red Pringles, some PB&J's cut down with heart indentations on them, strawberries cut into hearts and some mini heart shaped pies.

This year I decided to put one thing in the Valentines bags in the morning and one thing at night so when the girls came down they got to open the bag. Maddy was so excited to get a Minnie Mouse DVD. The only one we have is a Halloween one and she always wants to watch Mickey Mouse and never gets to because I packed it away with the Halloween decorations.
Abi getting into her bag...
She actually squealed when she opened it. It was so funny. Then she said, "I LOVE it!"
Then they enjoyed their breakfast of heart shaped cinnamon rolls and strawberry milk.

Abi wanted her fingernails painted for Valentines like a pin I saw on Pinterest so I did mine first last week to test it out. She still wanted it so after breakfast I painted on her red and white polka dots.
Abi likes to look at Pinterest too and liked these Valentines I found so I got some more glow sticks at the Target dollar section and she went off to school with these for her classmates and a box of chocolates for her teacher.
I also wanted to try out a cute hairdo. She got dressed and then I did it. She wanted to wear some makeup so instead of just putting blush on her cheeks I made little hearts. At first she loved it as much as I did but then after a few minutes she asked me to take it off. I had to get some pictures first..

She was so excited for her first Valentines day at school. I was happy for her because I remember loving it when I was a kid. It was so much fun to deliver all the valentines to all the little mailboxes and go through yours at the end of the day to see what you had.

Abi's visitor

Sunday afternoon the doorbell rang. Doug went down to get it and then called up to Abi that she had a visitor.
It was Evan. He is in her class at school and lives down the road from us.
I took a picture of them that day but it didn't turn out so here is a picture I took of them yesterday in her class...

He brought her an envelope. Inside was a picture he had drawn for her. Most of you will recognize it as Angry birds.
It was just the cutest thing. His dad and little brother came with him. You could tell that Abi was really excited and a little embarrassed too.
Yesterday before the field trip he came up to me and asked me if it was okay if he asked Abi to hang out with him at lunch time. How cute is that?!!
