Library: play

I love going to the library with the girls each week and they love playing in the little play room!

The beginning of our Summer Adventures: The Library

Monday marked the first day of our "Summer Adventures". 

Monday is our library day.

 I decided to make us each a library bag.

I let the girls decide what they wanted on their bags. 

Maddy wanted an owl so I made my own stencil by printing out a silhouette picture and then cutting it out. 

I wanted to do a girl reading in silhouette on Abi's bag but she wanted a My Little Pony... so I did both. And I think her idea was better because the little girl is hard to see. Doug didn't know what it was until I pointed it out. 

And this one is for me...

I bought little plastic name tag holders at Walmart and attached them to the bags with ribbon so that we can put our library cards right into them so they are always with our library bags.

Monday we arrived right at opening and got the girls their own library cards.

They spent a little while playing in the small play room. 

Then they each picked out books and movies up to their 5 limit.

I love the library!

I was really worried about it because ours is so small and only open a few hours a week but it actually has a pretty good selection and they have made it a very cute place.
