We were excited to try out a new Children's museum a few weeks ago. We had never been to the one in downtown Salt Lake City.
The first section had little balls you could put into tubes.
Some music fun...
A constuction spot...
Maddy delivered mail to the horse.
They took turns trying to climb the little rock wall.
Abi spent most of her time playing grocer.
Maddy spent most of her time playing in the water.
Then she went into the cute little house...
they put on a play for me...
played with some Legos
threw paper up a tube
pretended to be a newscaster
and then played with these foam things...
Finally after having so many kids try to take the pieces they were playing with and knocking down the things they were building, Abi dragged these pieces over to a separate empty play area and they played a few more minutes alone.

That actually looks like a really fun museum...and it looks like the girls had a lot of fun!
That loos great but once you go to a great museum it is hard for others to measure up. We went to the Milwaukee museum this summer but after years of fun at the Chicago museums it just fell short. Looks like there was still more than enough there to create a fun day even if you don't make a return visit.
Don't get me wrong. It was fun. And it is a nice place. But after the Milwaukee one it felt SO small. I never went to the Chicago one Julie or I probably would have felt that way too.
