Halloween

Most of Halloween was pretty low key. Abi watched a couple Halloween cartoons, we read some Halloween books and relaxed. I was still trying to decide what to take to our friends halloween party  I thought this orange jack o lantern with fruit inside (hollowed it out and carved face and put in apples and grapes)would be fun but it was way too messy and I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted to.. so Abi had this one for lunch.
We ended up just taking soda- oh well. Maybe I'll be more creative next year.

Before we left for the trick or treating I had to get some pics of Abi on the porch

I was so happy when Abi told me she wanted to be a witch before we went to Salem and got this whole costume there (except for the shoes) The cat and broom we got at the Witch's museum and I decided it would be cute to sew the cat onto the broom. I really liked the way it turned out.

We went around our friends neighborhood in a little circle. It was very cold so Abi ended up having to wear her coat over her costume. She was loving this though.
This was her first time doing "real" trick or treating since our town usually does it on the Sunday before Halloween.

The only thing frustrating her was that her hat kept blowing off so I held it most of the time for her.

She was loving it so much that she would come down from the doors with a huge grin on her face, she had to show us what she got at each house, and then she would RUN ahead to the next one.

Warming up at our friends house after trick or treating. The route worked perfectly because we weren't gone very long, it wasn't too far for everyone to walk, and by the end she was ready to be done.

Heather had so many cute things going on for the kids. Abi loved decorating a Halloween sugar cookie

and especially loved eating it.

Then she decorated a treat bag with stickers. She went with a witch theme..

She played Bingo for a few minutes

but then decided she would rather color and just eat her skittles.

We had a really yummy dinner of Taco Soup and salad and Abi had hot dog mummies which she LOVED and then we had peanut butter cupcakes that were delicious for Ryans birthday.

We had so much fun and Abi was so happy!
This morning she dumped out all her candy from both nights and had the hardest time deciding what piece she wanted...
