We were sad to say goodbye to our nice lodge but excited to head out. Abi got a little candy necklace kit (leftover from her birthday last year!) for her Rhode Island prize...
and a cute little black cat with a pumpkin pet shop toy in honor of entering Mass. where we would be visiting Salem in a few days..
It didn't take very long to get to Plymouth so we checked in at the hotel, grabbed some lunch and headed over to Plimoth Plantation. Here we got our first good glimpse of the ocean. (Abi's first!)
We actually had a lot of fun in the pilgrim village section. All of the workers were totally in character. My favorite was a gentleman in one of the houses that introduced himself to Abi and then said, "Well met Abigail." That sounds so cool. Also, everyone was working. they weren't just standing around talking in character but they were doing things: fixing fences, gathering, doing wash, tending sheep, etc..
Abi did not however like the Indian village.. she went to go into this hut thinking of the fun she had at Jamestown and then came right back out and wanted to leave. She said it was stinky and it actually was..
Her favorite part was back at the visitors center where she got to dress up in a pilgrim dress and play...
