We got a late start in the morning (unfortunately since it was already going to be the longest day of the trip) but were still excited to get going...
We ate at Burger King on the base for breakfast and Abi was pretty excited about her crown..
I loved that there were antelope (and their babies!) everywhere on base. Abi kept calling them "cantaloupe"
She was thrilled with her new princess sticker book at the Nebraska border.
She also loved this saddle at the grossest McDonalds ever. Oops it's sideways.
we had to have the obligatory (in the King family) Better Cheddars and "squeezy cheese".
I made her an Eye Spy bag for Iowa...
and she got a new Preschool workbook in Missouri. She has almost finished the entire thing already- she has loved getting back into it!
We ate at Taco Bell for dinner and it was the coldest place ever.
We didn't make it to our room until 10! Crazy. We knew we were in for a long day but it wasn't supposed to be that long. We had a bad storm in Nebraska, crazy traffic in Kansas City Mo and then got lost finding the base... but we had another two room place for only $30 so it's worth the time to find the base!
