Noah's Ark

Yesterday Abi and I spent a few hours with Grammy. We went to Thanksgiving Point to the Children's garden area. We didn't have a ton of time so we just stayed at the Noah's Ark area. It is so fun. They have this huge Noah's ark with water squirting out of it and water all around it and most of the moms are there with their kids in swimsuits- so much easier than going to a pool! Abi loved it.
At first she was a little unsure. She was in clothes but I told her she could go in and wade around...

The water was a little too deep and a little too fun to not end up getting pretty wet so we just decided she could dry off after.. let her have some fun.

Grammy even got in for some fun for a minute!

So, she ended up SOAKED!

When she decided she was ready for a little snack we went to another less populated area and took off her clothes to lay them in the sun while we sat in the shade and had some rolls, grapes, string cheese, apple juice, and these fun Sunflower cookies. I felt so redneck with my kid sitting in public eating a picnic in a diaper... but oh well.

Before we left we put her clothes back on her but she was still very wet so we decided to go get her a new little dress to wear.

We found the cutest dress at Kid to Kid. Later in the day I took Abi to a park for a while and in these pictures you can see her new dress.

Nebo Loop

Yesterday we decided to go on a long Sunday drive over the Nebo loop to have a picnic. I think we had all forgot how pretty it is up there.

My mom ran down a little incline at one pull off and started singing "The hills are alive with the sound of music" and spinning. It was awesome.

One of the lookouts overlooking Utah Lake

Grandma, Grandpa, and Abi

Of course, after Grandma's dance Abi wanted to do it too so Grandma helped her down the little hill...

and sang and danced with her as well...

Then they picked some wildflowers.

We soon found a pull off that had picnic tables along a trail so we could have our picnic. It was actually chilly so Abi and I had jackets on while Grandma and Grandpa had to be cold!!

Abi loved playing on this stump. Here she is preparing to Jump..

performing a magic trick with her wand...

Shower

My mom threw me the cutest little shower yesterday. It was centered most on games and visiting which I thought was really fun. For favors my mom and I put together these cute little buckets with some candy in them as well as a little notepad, a pencil and the games so it was useful during the shower and a fun little take home gift as well.

For one of the games my mom filled this basket with baby items tied to little tags where each person got to be creative and write down the use for each item and a way not to use it. It was cute.

My mom made really yummy chicken salad croissants along with fruit kabobs and cute cupcakes.

Abi was VERY excited. When she woke up in the morning she asked me , "Is the party today?" I said "Yes." and she yelled out, "Yippee!"

She even let me paint her toenails and fingernails!

I had to get this picture of Courtney and Abi snuggling with Grandma.

She made a tent with her bingo card for her M&M's...

The stash...

All the things from the basket game....

I'm also throwing on a picture of Abi this morning in the cute new coat from Grammy.

A Little Sprinkle

I heard that showers for 2nd babies and on are called sprinkles by a lot of people and I think that's kind of cute. So, anyway, my mom is throwing a little sprinkle for me this Saturday. It's kind of last minute so we got out invites to close family but not to friends or a lot of extended family. So, if you are in Utah, read this blog, and have Saturday afternoon free and would like to drive down for it email me at dcavw@hotmail.com and I'll let you know the particulars!

Keeping Busy

Monday night the girls wanted to have a little "sleepover" together and started out the night down in the play room watching a movie in their sleeping bags. They ended up both sleeping in my room.

Wednesday we went to see Open Season at the Cinemark in Provo for their $1 kids club. While we waited for them to open the girls had fun dancing around grandpa and grandma's car singing and making funny faces.

Later, Grandma got out their flowers they had picked on Monday to plant in the children's garden.

She dug the hole for them and then had them put a little water in it.

Then she told them how to plant them in the hole.

abi thought it was fun to dump dirt on top of it..

Then they watered again...

They made the little signs to go next to the plant with the type of flower and their names..

Then we just goofed off taking pictures around the back yard.

The next day we started out with Mickey Mouse pancakes (pictures are out of order again) and then took a ride up to the Hogle zoo. I think one of Abi's favorite parts was the carousel. She wanted to ride the giraffe but Courtney really wanted to ride the dolphin so Abi decided to ride the Eagle instead so they could be next to each other. They are so cute together.

Here are the pancakes...

Abi was a little afraid of the big Elephant that made noises but Courtney jumped right on the trunk.

It was so hot that we took a break for awhile in the afternoon to have soda's for the big people and snow cones for the kids. This was abi's first snow cone. She loved it. The best part was that when she was done with it instead of wasting them we dumped them into our diet coke's and it made really icy cherry coke!

Taking a turn at the mister....

We all loved this little baby giraffe. It was sooo cute!

Abi usually won't pose on these kinds of things but Courtney makes her braver I think.

Then for the train ride...

I loved this little Snow Leopard baby...

Court being stolen by the gorilla...

Back to the train... abi loved it!

It's so hard to see in this picture but Abi was trying to show her new butterfly backpack..
