Halloween part three

I wanted my whole family to get together for Halloween like we used to but everybody else has older kids now (the next youngest is 13) so we asked my parents if they would at least come over to have dinner and trick or treat.

Maddy decided to go with her original costume for the trick or treating..

I made Caramel Apple Cider and my mom made Chili

We also had cupcakes and donuts...

Then we walked up to my sisters house to trick or treat and then hit our neighborhood.

After doing one side of the street (our little spot is one huge circle with houses on the outside and on the inside) my parents left and Doug's sister Melinda came over with her little ones. 

Her husband is deployed right now.

The boys, Alex and Ian were soldiers...

The littlest is Lizzy. She is such a cutie pie.

It was a very fun and very full Halloween!

Halloween part two

After the school parade I took Maddy to Krispy Kreme to get a free donut. I also bought some for that night.

Then we met Doug at his work to trick or treat and have lunch..

Halloween part one

Halloween was so much fun!

Abi wanted to be the My Little Pony Twilight Sparkle. But she wanted to be the humanized version of her from the recent Equestria Girls movie.

I had to make the costume so we took some time planning it out.

We bought her an adult Twilight Sparkle wig on Amazon and the shirt from Kid to Kid.

I made the little ribbon thing she wore around her neck, the skirt and the leg warmer things that she wore over her boots.

We were really excited about how it all turned out.

Maddy wanted to be Tinkerbell but then my sister offered up their Christmas Belle costume and we jumped on that. 

She looked so pretty in it!

Maddy and I went up to Abi's school for the Halloween parade.

It was fun to see Abi and my niece Mckenna (she works at the school for part of her school day).

There is McKenna in white. She wore my wedding dress this year.

You can see Abi toward the bottom in the middle... just look for purple hair.

After the parade through the gym, Maddy and I went over by Abi's class to wait for her to be done so I could get something from her teacher.

Our Pumpkins

The girls got their pumpkins free from the pageant and we didn't buy any more.

They both used those push in things for them.

And that was that.

Harry Potter Party

A guy that Doug carpools with was having a Harry Potter themed party the Saturday before Halloween.

The girls were in witch attire, I wore my Gryffindor Quidditch shirt and I made Doug wear my Gryffindor scarf.

A lot of it were things I did at my own Harry Potter week with my mom and the girls a while back but their butterbeer was way better than mine and they made these awesome Quidditch hoops.

We went over to the park to play Quidditch

As you can see, everybody was dressed up and most of them were pretty amazing!
